MOORING REGULATIONS
The measurements are from the bow to the stern but do not include the outboard engines,
but does include any extension to the transom for fitting outboards on.
- For conventional tapering bow vessels with transom mounted outboards
6 metres and the beam 2.4 metres. - For inboard installations or jet boats or sailing vessels with inboard engines,
i.e. well installations, 6.5 metres length and 2.4 metres beam - Pontoon boats that have a wide beam at the bow – 5 metres length
and 2.4 metres beam. - The displacement recommendation is for vessels not exceeding
1 metric ton displacement. - The windage of the vessel, i.e. houseboats, will have a greater stress on the
jetty finger. Caution should be exercised in accommodating this type of vessel. - It is important that mooring lines/dock lines have some elasticity.
Nylon rope is the best or in-line snubbers.
All boat owners to provide full dimensional details and registration number of their craft when booking.
NO FISHING FROM JETTIES OR MOORED BOATS
